Playwrights Realm: 2 new plays for 2014-2015 Season
The Playwrights Realm has announced two world premiere productions to be featured in their 2014-2015 Season:
My Mañana Comes

Venue: The Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street, NYC)
Synopsis: 'Plates in, plates out, we need ice, table four needs bread, your tuna tartare is up: this is the life of the back of house at a restaurant. It's not a bad way for four young New Yorkers to spend their days, make their livings, and cling to their dreams - that is, until management starts to get stingy. But you can count on your co-workers, right? Right? Right?'

Synopsis: 'Four disparate Americans journey to Paris in search of love. A mysterious symphony of speech and dreams unfold as their lives entangle in a web of paintings, opera, and absinthe.'

Elizabeth Irwin is a 2013-14 Playwrights Realm Writing Fellow and a member of the Public Theater's 2015 Emerging Writer's Group. She was a member of the 2012-13 Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab. Her short play 'Origin' was selected for the Estrogenius Festival (Manhattan Theater Source) and her play 'Brooklyn Bets Alexi' won 3rd place in the MetLife Nuestras Voces competition (El Repertorio Español). Elizabeth is a graduate of Amherst and Harvard and works in the New York City public schools.
Anton Dudley's Off-Broadway productions include '17 Orchard Point' (The Beckett Theater), 'Substitution' (Playwrights Realm), 'Getting Home' (Second Stage Theatre) and 'Slag Heap' (Cherry Lane Theatre). Other productions include 'A Dram of Drummhicit' (LaJolla Playhouse), 'Honor and the River' (Walnut Street Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club commission), 'Cold Hard Cash' (Williamstown Theatre Festival), 'Letters to the End of the World', 'Davy & Stu' (Ensemble Studio Theatre), 'The Lake's End' (Adirondack Theatre Festival), and 'BOB' (NYSAF).
