Perfect Crime will make history as the first indoor play to reopen in New York with an in-person show. Performances will resume at the Theater Center from April 18, marking the show's 34th anniversary.

First performed in 1987, Perfect Crime tells of Margaret Thorne Brent who believes she's committed the ultimate murder. Caught in a game of cat and mouse with her investigator, it takes a great deal for Brent to wash her hands of potential guilt. Written by Warren Manzi, Perfect Crime is the only play to have been staged off-Broadway over the last five decades.

Catherine Russell stars in Perfect Crime, who has appeared in the show since its 1980s inception. The show also features Patrick Ryan Sullivan, David Butler, Charles Geyer, and Patrick Robustelli. It is a show that's "full of surprises as each clue is unravelled. It is well acted and performed in a very small stage resulting in a cosy atmosphere."

A preview performance will take place on April 17, ahead of its official reopening on April 18. To keep audiences safe, the Theater Center has installed air scrubbers to clean the air, as well as air monitors and Covid officers.
