Perfect Crime: Robert Emmet Lunney assumes the role of 'W. Harrison Brent'


Robert Emmet Lunney assumes the role of 'W. Harrison Brent' from 29 Sep 2008 in the long running off-Broadway thriller Perfect Crime, written by Warren Manzi and directed by Jeffrey Hyatt.

Lunney's has understudied on Broadway in 'Mauritius' (2007), 'Deuce' (2007), 'A Streetcar Named Desire' (2005). He performed ensemble roles in 'The Graduate' (2002). Off-Broadway he has appeared in MCC Theater's production of 'Grace,' a Vineyard production of 'The Dying Gaul' and in 'Duet' which played at the 'Greenwich Street Theatre.'

He joins original cast member Catherine Russell, who has been playing the role of 'Margaret Thorne Brent' since the play opened in 1987. The cast also includes Michael Brian Dunn (Lionel McAuley), Patrick Robustelli (David Breuer) and Richard Shoberg (Inspector Ascher).

Perfect Crime opened on 18 Apr 1987, in its 21 year run the thriller has played at a number of off-Broadway venues. The show moved to the The Snapple Theater Center in 2005, where it is currently selling tickets through to 28 Feb 2009.

A secluded mansion. A would-be murderess. Perfect Crime. Margaret Brent is an accomplished Connecticut psychiatrist�and potential cold-blooded killler. When her wealthy husband turns up dead, she gets caught in the middle of a terrifying game of cat and mouse with a deranged patient and the handsome but duplicitous investigator assigned to the case.
