Official Broadway production photos released for A Christmas Carol

The Broadway premiere of A Christmas Carol, starring Campbell Scott, is set for an official opening on November 20, 2019.

God bless these production photos... every one! Producers of Charles Dickens' holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol have now released official photography for the production. The new shots depict "House of Cards" star Campbell Scott (as Ebenezer Scrooge), two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin (as the Ghost of Christmas Past), Tony Award winner LaChanze (as the Ghost of Christmas Present/Mrs. Fezziwig), Dashiell Eaves (as Bob Cratchit), Sarah Hunt (as Belle), and Chris Hoch (as Marley), alongside the entire Broadway company.

A Christmas Carol began performances at the Lyceum Theatre on November 7, 2019. The production is set for an official opening tomorrow, November 20 and a limited engagement through January 5, 2020.

Adapted by Tony Award winner Jack Thorne, the playwright behind the global phenomenon of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and directed by Tony Award winner Matthew Warchus, whose recent Broadway credits include Groundhog Day and Matilda The Musical, this production of A Christmas Carol has already enjoyed successful runs at London's Old Vic Theatre and returns there once again this holiday season.

Synopsis: "This timeless — and timely — tale of redemption welcomes theatergoers of all ages into an immersive experience that's brimming with Christmas spirit. This magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story features dazzling staging, moving storytelling and 12 of the most cherished Christmas carols, including "Joy to the World," "Silent Night," and "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear.""

The creative team behind A Christmas Carol features music & arrangements by Tony Award nominee Christopher Nightingale, music direction by Michael Gacetta, scenic & costume design by Tony Award winner Rob Howell, lighting design by Tony Award winner Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Tony Award nominee Simon Baker, and movement by Lizzi Gee.

Perhaps best known for his role as Mark Usher on Netflix's "House of Cards," Campbell Scott last appeared on Broadway as Lloyd Dallas in Roundabout Theatre Company's 2016 revival of Noises Off. His other Broadway credits include Ah, Wilderness! (1988), A Long Day's Journey Into Night (1988), The Real Thing (1984), and The Queen and the Rebels (1982), and his notable screen credits include "Royal Pains," "The Sheltering Sky," "Damages," The Amazing Spider-Man," and "The Amazing Spide-Man 2."

A Christmas Carol Tickets are available now for performances through January 5, 2020.
