Sat 3 Jan 2004 Oberon Theatre Ensemble presents two dark comedic works from 16 Jan 2004 Oberon Theatre Ensemble presents two dark comedic works, in repertoire from 16 Jan to 15 Feb 2004 at Pelican Studio Theatre. Unidentified Human Remains And The True Nature Of Love by Brad Fraser. Directed by Tim Errickson the cast includes: Heather McAllister, Thea McCartan, WT McRae, Ian Pfister, Peter Picard, Kate Sandberg, Evan Zes Looks at the lives and loves of a group of eclectic and dysfunctional people in late 1980s Edmonton, Canada - as a serial killer roams the streets. There's David, a former actor turned bartender, who has recently turned thirty; and his roommate (and former lover) Candy, who has a habit of looking for love in all the wrong places. David, cynical way beyond his years, doesn't worry about finding Mr. Right, usually preferring Mr. Right Now. That is, until a new young man arrives on the scene. There's also a psychic who tells a story like no one else; Bernie, who like David, seems only to care for his own personal happiness; and Jerri and Robert, who offer intriguing possibilities for Candy - if she chooses to take them. Road To Nirvana by Arthur Kopit. Directed by Donavan Johnson the cast includes: Philip Emeott, Brad Fryman, Adria Hernandez, Summer Shirey A biting satire about a producer and those in his orbit, all of whom will do anything to close a deal, even at the expense of their last ounce of self-respect. Written in response to David Mamet's 'Speed-The-Plow.'
