NYTW announces full cast of Red Speedo

The New York Theatre Workshop, under artistic director James C. Nicola, has announced complete casting of the upcoming New York premiere of Red Speedo written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz.

The cast of Red Speedo includes Alex Breaux (Ray), Peter Jay Fernandez (Coach), Lucas Caleb Rooney (Peter) and Zoë Winters (Lydia).

Previews begin on 17 February 2016, before an official opening on 3 March, and a limited run through to 27 March 2016.

Synopsis: "Set on the eve of the Olympic swim trials, pressure builds as front-runner Ray confronts the lure of endorsements, the perils of mixing the personal and professional, and the unforgiving weight of success. Red Speedo is an exploration of America's obsession with winning at all costs."

The creative team behind Red Speedo has also been announced and features scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Montana Blanco, lighting design by Yi Zhao, sound design by Matt Tierney, and fight direction by Thomas Schall.
