Last night one of the most anticipated productions of the fall officially opened at Broadway's Booth Theatre, as Steve Martin's new comedy Meteor Shower rained down on the Great White Way!

Broadway is always powered by its star names, and the intimate theatre debut here of Amy Schumer, a star of the big and small screen as well as arena comedy shows, was bound to be a hot ticket. Indeed, the production has opened to the biggest advance in the storied history of the Booth Theatre, with a whopping $7.5m in ticket sales!

Fans will be able to see Schumer in close-up quarters starring in a frank and surprising domestic comedy about two married couples and a night of reckoning for both, as one entertains the other on the night of a spectacular meteor shower. The comedy explodes with its own shower of jokes, courtesy of Mr. Martin, that also has a surreal, experimental edge as it replays the same scenes several times over.

Those comic revelations are beautifully powered by director Jerry Zaks and an expert cast that sees Schumer joined by fellow Broadway newcomer Keegan-Michael Key and Broadway regulars Laura Benanti and Jeremy Shamos. Stay tuned for our full review!

We were on hand to greet the evening's special guests as they braved the windy, chilly weather outside the theatre last night, so, without any further ado, we hope you enjoy our photos from this starry, meteoric night on Broadway...

Meteor Shower Tickets are available now for performances through to January 21, 2018.
