Newsical: Carson Kressley joins cast
Emmy-winning television personality Carson Kressley joined the cast of the off-Broadway's revue Newsical the Musical on 06 Feb 2013. He will remain with the show for four weeks, ending his engagement on 03 Mar 2013.
Kressley has starred on several television shows including Lifetime's critically acclaimed 'How To Look Good Naked,' OWN's Carson-Nation, and Bravo's 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,' a role that earned him a primetime Emmy. He was voted a "fan-favorite" on ABC's, 'Dancing With the Stars,' and recently completed a gig as the host of 'Dancing With the Stars Live' in Las Vegas.
Kressley is the latest star to to appear in Newsical the Musical. Previously, celebrity gossip guru Perez Hilton joined the show for a limited run, followed by Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle, and then Saturday Night Live's Cheri Oteri.
The show's producer Tom D'Angora said, "Carson Kressley has become famous for making over the world. Fans are going to thrill over how he makes over Newsical the Musical."
The cast of Newsical now features Christine Pedi, Michael West, Tommy Walker, Susan Mosher and Carson Kressley.
Newsical, by Rick Crom, opened at Theatre Row's Kirk Theater on 9 Jan 2011, following previews from 13 Dec 2010, and is currently booking through to 30 Jun 2013.

With songs and material being updated on a regular basis, composer-lyricist Rick Crom's topical musical comedy is an ever-evolving mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof.
Rounding out the creative team are Ed Goldschneider (music director), Jason Courson (set designer), David Kally (costume designer) and Scott Delacruz (stage manager).
The show is produced by Tom D'Angora (Broadway Diva Christmas, Naked Boys Singing!, Divas I've Done) and Elyse Pasquale (Betty Rules).
