East Coast Artists presents Man Of The Heart, written and performed by Sudipto Chatterjee, doirected by Suman Mukherjee, at the Kraine Theater from the 27 Apr - 7 May 2006.

Man Of The Heart is a solo-performance on the life and times of Lalon Phokir, the 19th century Bengali Sufi-Baul mystic saint and song-maker. A meditation through words, movement, music and projected images, Man of the Heart explores Lalons long, productive, and devout life as he gathered disciples and composed hundreds of songs. Revered by Hindus and Muslims alike, Lalon's words and music create the possibility of a universal identity that undermines the religious divisions fueling violence around the world today.
