MacRune's Guevara at Theatre at St. Clement's


The Mirror Repertory Company presents MacRune's Guevara, by John Spurling, opening at the Theatre at St. Clement's on the 6 Apr 2006, following a preview on the 29 Mar and running through to the 10 May 2006.

MacRune's Guevara tells the story of MacRune, a Scottish painter who covers his apartment in pictures of Che Guevara, and then dies. The next man to enter his apartment is the art critic Edward Hotel, who explores the life of Che, the man MacRune, and his own ambition in scenes comedic, tragic, and even musical.

MacRune's Guevara's cast, directed by Anthony Nelson, features Sophia Bushong, Rachel Evans, Richard Hollman, DeVon Jackson, Caitlin Mulhern, Matthew Naclero, Rob O'Hare, Max Schulman, Joanna Simmons, Macadam Smith, Brina Stone, Dominic Tancredi and Joseph Varca.

The production has set design by Mauruti Evans, costumes by Gail Cooper-Hecht, and lighting by Malcolm Sturchio.
