There's a new addition to the family. Screen actor Joshua Malina is set to join the Broadway cast of Tom Stoppard's Leopoldstadt, beginning March 14 at the Longacre Theatre.

Malina will assume the role of Hermann from David Krumholtz, who has played the role since the show's Broadway premiere in September. Leopoldstadt will mark Malina's second Broadway appearance, following his debut in the ensemble of A Few Good Men in 1989.

Malina would go on to play Tom in A Few Good Men's 1992 film adaptation. In fact, the actor is best known for his many screen roles, including Will Bailey on The West Wing, David Rosen on Scandal, Caltech President Siebert on The Big Bang Theory, and Officer Tipping on Shameless.

Additional casting has also been set. Dave Register joins Leopoldstadt as Fritz, Cody Braverman as Young Leo, and Ali Rose Dachis as an understudy.

In addition, three current company members will take on new roles. Jesse Aaronson takes on the role of Leo in addition to his current role as Aaron, replacing Arty Froushan. Charlotte Graham will now pay Nellie in place of Tedra Millan, and Sarah Killough will replace Caissie Levy as Eva.

Original Broadway cast members Froushan, Krumholtz, Levy, and Millan will play their final performances March 12.

Leopoldstadt follows one Austrian Jewish family living in the title Jewish quarter of Vienna. Based loosely on Stoppard's own family history, the show traces how the family changed, fractured, and was remembered in the leadup to, and aftermath of, the Holocaust.

A five-star Leopoldstadt review on New York Theatre Guide reads, "Smartly, Stoppard did not write Leopoldstadt as a Holocaust play. Impending doom lurks in Adam Cork's chilling score, but otherwise, the show is a lively, rich family drama. We're invited into the Merz-Jacobowitzes' commonplace gatherings, debates, trysts, squabbles, and playtimes as though we, too, are kin."

The show recently extended on Broadway through July 2.
