He'll be waving through the windows of the Music Box Theatre next month! It has been announced that Jordan Fisher will take over the titular role in the Tony Award-winning 'Best Musical' Dear Evan Hansen from January 28, 2020 for a limited 16-week engagement. Current star Andrew Barth Feldman is scheduled to play his final performance in the role on January 26.

Fisher commented: "Evan Hansen is a 16-course meal for an actor. The complexity of this boy is akin to climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in my opinion. I doubt I'll ever forget the first time I sat in the Music Box to see it, and the idea of being a part of that memory for others is mind-blowing. I'm so honored to join this amazing company."

Jordan Fisher wowed TV audiences in January of this year with his performance as Mark Cohen on "Rent: Live". He also appeared as Doody in "Grease Live!" in 2016 and is known for his role as Holden Dippledorf on the Disney Channel's "Liv and Maddie," as well as winning "Dancing with the Stars" in 2017. He previously made his Broadway debut as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in the musical phenomenon Hamilton in November 2016.

The current Broadway company of Dear Evan Hansen includes Andrew Barth Feldman (as Evan Hansen), Jessica Phillips (as Heidi Hansen), Gabrielle Carrubba (as Zoe Murphy), Alex Boniello (as Connor Murphy), Christiane Noll (as Cynthia Murphy), Ivan Hernandez (as Larry Murphy), Jared Goldsmith (as Jared Kleinman), and Phoebe Koyabe (as Alana Beck).

Dear Evan Hansen began previews at the Music Box Theatre on November 14, 2016 and officially opened to rave reviews on December 4, 2016.

Dear Evan Hansen features a book by Tony Award winner Steven Levenson, music and lyrics by Tony & Academy Award winners Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, and is directed by four-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif.

Synopsis: "All his life Evan Hansen has felt invisible. To his peers, to the girl he loves, sometimes even to his own mother. But that was before he wrote the letter - that led to the incident - that started the lie - that ignited a movement - that inspired a community - and changed Evan's status from the ultimate outsider into the somebody everyone wants to know. But how long can Evan keep his secret? And at what price? A tribute to the outsider in us all, Dear Evan Hansen is about someone you know, maybe even someone you are, but more than anything, it's about discovering the person we all long to be - ourselves."

The creative team features choreography by Danny Mefford, musical direction by Ben Cohn, music supervision by Alex Lacamoire, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, and projection design by Peter Nigrini.

Dear Evan Hansen is produced on Broadway by Second Stage Theater in association with Stacey Mindich Productions.

Dear Evan Hansen Tickets are available now for performances through August 23, 2020.
