Joe Pantoliano to star in world premiere of Drift at New World Stages
Drift is scheduled to begin performances at New World Stages on February 29, 2020.
Emmy Award-winning star of "The Sopranos," Joe Pantoliano has confirmed his return to the New York stage. He is set to star in the world premiere of new American drama Drift, written by William Francis Hoffman and directed by Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco.
Previews are scheduled to begin at New World Stages on February 29, 2020, ahead of an official opening on March 16 and a limited run through May 24, 2020.
Synopsis: "Set in the blue collar, urban landscape of the 1950's, Drift is the hard-hitting new drama where secrets come to a head, difficult choices must be made, and devastating consequences must be faced."
Joe Pantoliano starred as Ralph Cifaretto on "The Sopranaos" from 2001 to 2004, winning his Emmy Award in 2003. His many screen credits include the role of Captain Howard in "Bad Boys" (1995), "Bad Boys II" (2003), and "Bad Boys for Life," currently in movie theaters, as well as appearances in "Risky Business" (1983), "The Goonies" (1985), "Running Scared" (1986), "La Bamba" (1987), "Midnight Run" (1988), "The Fugitive" (1993), "Baby's Day Out" (1994), "Bound" (1996), "U.S. Marshals" (1998), and the roles of Cypher in "The Matrix" (1999) and Teddy in "Memento" (2000). He made his Broadway debut in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune at the Belasco Theatre in January 2003.
Mr. Pantoliano, who takes on the role of Tom McMillin, will be joined in the cast by Patrick Brennan (as Joe Cintelli), Richard R. Henry (as Father Grevado), Alex Mickiewicz (as Angelo), and Griffin Osborne (as Vinny).
The creative team behind Drift features scenic design by Edward T. Morris, costume design by Gina Ruiz, lighting design by Emily Clarkson, sound design by Sean Hagerty, and original music composition by Rolfe Kent.
Drift is produced Off-Broadway by Bobby Moresco, James Cahill, Joanna Cahill, Jack Kavanaugh, Leslie Kavanaugh, Kate Mott Morrow and Karly Fischer.
