Jeremy Jordan, Eva Noblezada to star in 'The Great Gatsby' at Paper Mill Playhouse

The new musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel will premiere at the Tony Award-winning New Jersey venue for a month beginning in October.

Great news, old sport! The world-premiere production of The Great Gatsby at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse has set initial casting. The Broadway-aimed musical will play from October 12 to November 12.

Jeremy Jordan will star as the mysterious billionaire Jay Gatsby, and Eva Noblezada will play socialite Daisy Buchanan. Jordan is best known for his Tony Award-nominated performance as Jack Kelly in Newsies and for starring as Clyde Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde on Broadway. He is currently playing a return engagement as Seymour in the acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors.

Noblezada is best known for her Tony-nominated performances as Kim in the latest Broadway revival of Miss Saigon and as Eurydice in the original Broadway cast of Hadestown. She still holds the role of Eurydice and departs the production on August 13.

The cast also includes Sara Chase as Myrtle Wilson, Stanley W. Mathis as Meyer Wolfsheim, Samantha Pauly as Jordan Baker, Noah J. Ricketts as Nick Carraway, Paul Whitty as George Wilson, and John Zdrojeski as Tom Buchanan.

The ensemble includes Lauryn Adams, Raymond Edward Baynard, Ayla Ciccone-Burton, Austin Colby, Colin Cunliffe, Natalie Charle Ellis, Curtis Holland, Brianna Kim, Dariana Mullen, Pascal Pastrana, Mariah Reives, Julio Rey, Dan Rosales, Maya Sistruck, Jake Trammel, Jake Urban, Tanairi Vazquez and Katie Webber.

The Great Gatsby is a musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel about the title man's quest to win back the love of his old flame, Daisy in Jazz Age New York. The show features a book by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones), music by Tony Award nominees Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square), direction by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and choreography by Dominique Kelley.

Howland also provides music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations, and Daniel Edmonds is music director. The Great Gatsby also features scenic and projection design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costume design by Linda Cho, lighting design by Cory Pattak, sound design by Brian Ronan, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe and Rachael Geier, and fight and intimacy direction by Rocío Mendez.
