Imminence at La MaMa ETC's Annex

LaMaMa E.T.C. and the Talking Band presents Imminence, by Paul Zimet, opening at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club / The Annex on 17 Feb 2008, following previews from 15 Feb and running through to 2 Mar 2008.

Imminence: Following the death of her mother, Simone takes her twenty year old daughter, on a cross-country car trip to visit her parents' first home in Coney Island. The narrative shifts between the past and present, not only through the generations of Simone's family, but also through the much longer scale of geological time.

Directed by Paul Zimet and choreography by Hilary Easton, Imminence features William Badgett, David Brooks, Kim Gambino, Lula Graves, Kristine Lee, Ellen Maddow, Greg Manley, Steven Rattazzi, Tina Shepard and Amelia Campbell.

Imminence features electronic music by Peter Gordon and acoustic music by Ellen Maddow, with Video by Kit Fitzgerald.

The creative team also features Nic Ularu (sets), Kiki Smith (costumes) and G. Benjamin Swope (lighting).
