Himself and Nora to play final performance on 6 August

Producers have announced that Jonathan Brielle's musical Himself and Nora, directed by Michael Bush, will play its final performance at off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre on 6 August 2016. It began previews on 14 May 2016 and officially opened on 6 June. It was previously booking through to 4 September 2016. Upon closing the production will have played a total of 26 previews and 71 regular performances.

Synopsis: "It was one of the world's great romances. She was the country girl from Galway whose burning sexuality and acerbic wit inspired the genius of James Joyce. Himself and Nora is a passionate musical that reveals the private life of one of modern literature's most controversial figures and illustrates the untold story of Joyce's lifelong love and muse Nora."

The cast of Himself and Nora includes Matt Bogart (James Joyce) and Whitney Bashor (Nora Barnacle), with Michael McCormick, Gary Troy, Lianne Marie Dobbs, Victoria Huston-Elem and Cole Burden.

The creative team behind Himself and Nora features musical direction by James Sampliner, choreography by Kelli Barclay, scenic design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costume design by Amy Clark, lighting design by Jason Lyons, and sound design by Keith Caggiano.

Himself and Nora is produced off-Broadway by Cherie King.
