The Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Simon Stephen's drama Heisenberg, which staged its World Premiere at New York City Center's Stage II from 19 May to 18 July 2015, begins previews at Broadway's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre tonight, ahead of an official opening on 13 October and a limited engagement through to 4 December 2016.

MTC's Artistic Director Lynne Meadow previously commented:

"Simon Stephens is one of the most exceptional playwrights in a new generation of exciting writers who are working in the theatre today. I am thrilled to bring to Broadway Simon's compelling and insightful Heisenberg, which MTC commissioned and produced in our Stage II at City Center. Many more theatregoers will get to see the amazing Mary-Louise Parker and Dennis Arndt in the funny, quirky, and moving production that director Mark Brokaw created last spring for our 150 seat theatre Off-Broadway."
The off-Broadway production opened to positive reviews with many praising the cast and writing.

The production stars Tony and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Georgie) and Dennis Ardnt (Alex) and is directed by Drama Desk Award winner Mark Brokaw.

Synopsis: "Amidst the bustle of a crowded London train station, Clare spots Alex, a much older man, and plants a kiss on his neck. This electric encounter thrusts these two strangers into a fascinating and life-changing game. Heisenberg brings to life the uncertain and often comical sparring match that is human connection."

The creative team behind Heisenberg features scenic design by Mark Wendland, costumes by Michael Krass, lighting design by Donald Holder, and original music & sound design by David Van Tieghem.
