On March 25, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke of a Coronavirus vaccination site dedicated to Broadway and theater industry workers. In April, small New York theatres opened their doors for the first in-person performances in over a year. From September, Broadway theatres will be allowed to open at full capacity

Below is a list of all productions which are currently set to go ahead in New York, listed alphabetically by theatre.

Dozens of Broadway productions have confirmed their reopening in fall 2021, as well as upcoming shows in 2022. Check out our guide to every Broadway show reopening in 2021.

Full list of off-Broadway shows opening

So far, two off-Broadway shows have announced a reopening date. Little Shop of Horrors will reopen the Westside Theatre, with Jersey Boys the first musical at New World Stages in over a year.

What other venues are open in New York?

Bryant Park: The Picnic Performances at New York City's Bryant Park will take place once more this summer. 25 events have been scheduled over the season to be available in person and via livestream, including sets from Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center and New York City Opera. The season runs from June 9 - September 20.

Caveat: RISK! will return to Caveat from June 17. The show will feature incredible true stories from Kevin Allison, Vernon Payne, Christine Gentry, Jim Christy and Michele Carlo.

Daryl Roth Theatre: The North American transfer of Blindness will open for a limited engagement from April 2. First seen in London, the socially distanced sound installation sees a blindness pandemic spread through the European city, with a voiceover by Juliet Stevenson. 

Jerry Orbach Theater at The Theater Center: Central Perk is back open. Friends! The Musical Parody will run from July 19 - September 19, ahead of a nationwide tour. 

Players Theatre: Sara Fellini's The Wake of Dorcas Kelly runs July 8 - 25. Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical, inspired by the Netflix series Stranger Things is at the Players Theatre from August 5 - September 5. 

Radial Park at Halletts Point Play: After cinematic musical shows in 2020, the venue will reopen this spring. Upcoming shows include The Blues Brothers, starring Charity Angel Dawson and Nick Borroughs. There's also five audio plays including Treasure Island and The Tempest.
