Producers of the Broadway premiere of freestyle love supreme have added an additional four performances for the Broadway run, taking place at 7pm on the following Wednesday evenings: November 13, November 20, December 4, and December 18.

Conceived by Lin-Manuel MirandaThomas Kail and Anthony Veneziale, freestyle love supreme began previews at the Booth Theatre on September 13, ahead of an official opening on October 2 (read our 4* review) and a 16-week limited engagement through January 5, 2020.

Synopsis: "Six talented performers providing non-stop action throughout this fast-paced evening, spinning cues from the audience into humorous bits, instantaneous songs and riffs, and fully realized musical numbers. The electrifying vocals of the performers - from singing to rapping to beat-boxing with harmonies and freestyle flow - are backed by tight tunes from keyboards and human percussion."

fls combines elements of improvisational theatre and hip-hop, accompanied by a live band. Created in homage to John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme," the show features live jazz, soul and blues music. Each performance will showcase a different line-up, which could include guest performances from the likes of multiple Emmy Award winner Wayne Brady or such Hamilton alumni as Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs, Tony Award nominee Christopher Jackson, Tony Award winner James Monroe Inglehart, and the mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda himself.

The core cast of fls includes Andrew Bancroft (aka Jelly Donut), Arthur Lewis (aka Arthur The Geniuses), Bill Sherman (aka King Sherman), Chris Sullivan (aka Shockwave), Anthony Veneziale (aka Two-Touch), and Utkarsh Ambudkar (aka UTK).

The creative team also features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Lisa Zinni, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
