Dust to close on 18 Jan



The off-Broadway show, Dust, will end its run at the Westside Theatre (downstairs) on 18 Jan 2009, the play had been selling tickets through to 1 Feb 2009.

A new thriller by Billy Goda, Dust, starring Emmy Award nominee Richard Masur (The Burning Bed) and Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster (Little Shop of Horrors), opened at the Westside Theatre (downstairs) on 4 Dec 2008, following previews from 18 Nov 2008.

The drama opened to to mixed reviews: "'Dust'.... might just as well describe the minute nature of this forgettable thriller." (NY Post); 'An uncomplicated pleasure' (Back Stage); "Excellent acting and writing laced with mordant humor." & "The real puzzler is why such a lousy play got such a high-wattage production." (Variety) Dust One man is an executive with money and a paunch. The other is an ex-con with street smarts and a minimum-wage position. One man says 'jump.' The other won�t say 'how high,' but defiantly asks 'why?'. What starts off as a battle of wills over who will do the dusting escalates into a war for respect, the upper hand and survival. Who will be standing when the dust settles?

Directed by Scott Zigler, Dust also features feature Laura E. Campbell, Curtis McClarin and John Schiappa.

The creative team includes Caleb Wertenbaker (sets), Theresa Squire (costumes) and Charles Foster (lighting).
