"Doubt" extends to 30 Jan at City Center's Stage One

Fri 11 Feb 2005 "Doubt" extends to 30 Jan at City Center's Stage One Following it's successful off-Broadway run at the City Center's Stage One (22 Nov 2004 - 30 Jan 2005), The Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Doubt, a new play by John Patrick Shanley, will now open on Broadway. Doubt willl open at Wlater Kerr on the 31 Mar 2005, following previews from the 9 Mar. Tickets are now on sale. Synopsis: In the 1960s, at a Catholic school in the Bronx, a nun grows suspicious when a priest begins taking too much interest in the life of a young male student. Is she being overly protective...or not protective enough? The production will feature the same cast as it's successful off-B'way outing: Cherry Jones (Sister Aloysius), Br�an F. OByrne (Father Flynn), Heather Goldenhersh (Sister James) and Adriane Lenox (Mrs Muller) The creative team for Doubt includes: John Lee Beatty (set design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Pat Collins (lighting design), and David Van Tieghem (original music & sound design). Doubt will be produced on Broadway by Carole Shorenstein Hays, Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer), Roger Berlind and Scott Rudin. Doubt will be playwright John Patrick Shanley's first play to be produced on Broadway.
