Cougar: Donna Moore temporarily joins cast



Donna Moore, the creator and writer of the Off-Broadway show Cougar the Musical will temporarily join the cast as 'Clarity' on the 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th Aug 2013, covering for Brenda Braxton who is out of town performing the role of 'Velma' in 'Chicago' at the California Music Circus.

Aside from creating and serving as lead producer on Cougar the Musical, Moore has a long history as a writer and performer. She developed Cougar the Musical out of a successful three year-long cabaret run at Don't Tell Mama and has done stand-up comedy, national commercials and concerts. she is currently working on her next musical 'Tag Sale.'

Cougar the Musical unleashes three disillusioned women who develop a taste for hot, young men (all played by Andrew Brewer). They let their inner cougar roar and purr, finding self-love and empowerment in the process. The musical follows the women from nail salon to boudoir and back as they learn to say "yes" to getting older, "yes" to trust and friendship and "yes" to proving that love is ageless.

Cougar the Musical opened at St. Luke's Theatre on 26 Aug 2012, following previews from 10 Aug 2013, and is currently selling tickets through to 05 Oct 2013.

Directed and choreographed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, the cast featuresBrenda Braxton (Clarity), Andrew Brewer (Buck/Twilight Dude/Bourbon Cowboy), Mary Mossberg (Lily) and Babs Winn (Mary-Marie).

The creative team features Josh Iacovelli (Set and sound Designer) and Dustin Cross (Costume Designer).
