Cougar: Brenda Braxton returns to cast

Tony Nominee Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe's Cafe) originated the role of 'Clarity Jackson' in Donna Moore's Off-Broadway show Cougar the Musical and will reprise her role now that her tour of 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' has come to an end.

Now in its ninth month, Cougar the Musical opened at St. Luke's Theatre on 26 Aug 2012, following previews from 10 Aug 2013, and is currently selling tickets through to 27 Jul 2013.

Directed and choreographed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, the cast now includes Brenda Braxton (Clarity), Danny Bernardy (Buck/Twilight Dude/Bourbon Cowboy), Mary Mossberg (Lily) and Babs Winn (Mary-Marie).

Cougar the Musical unleashes three disillusioned women who develop a taste for hot, young men. They let their inner cougar roar and purr, finding self-love and empowerment in the process. The musical follows the women from nail salon to boudoir and back as they learn to say "yes" to getting older, "yes" to trust and friendship and "yes" to proving that love is ageless.

The creative team features Josh Iacovelli (Set and sound Designer) and Dustin Cross (Costume Designer).
