Golden Globe nominee Corey Stoll and Nadia Bowers, who are married in real life, are set to take on theatre's iconic couple of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in Classic Stage Company's upcoming Off-Broadway revival. Macbeth is scheduled to begin previews at CSC's Lynn F. Angelson Theater on October 10, 2019, ahead of an official opening on October 27 and a limited engagement through December 15, 2019.

Corey Stoll has appeared on Broadway in the 2010 revival of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, as well as the 2007 revival of Old Aquaintance and the 2003 revival of Henry IV. He was last seen on the New York stage as Iago in the 2018 "Shakespeare in the Park" production of Othello. On screen, he earned a Golden Globe nomination in 2014 for his role as Rep. Peter Russo in Netflix's "House of Cards," and his many film credits include "Midnight in Paris," "Salt," and Marvel's "Ant-Man."

Nadia Bowers has previously appeared on Broadway in 2007's The Farnsworth Invention and 2005's Doubt and can currently be seen Off-Broadway in Life Sucks. Her other Off-Broadway credits include Atlantic Theater Company's Describe the NightChurch and State, WP Theater's Collapse, and Wildflower for Second Stage Theater.

Synopsis: "A terrifyingly prophetic tale of revenge, murder, and madness, Macbeth ominously traces the fallout when the darkest side of humanity cheats its way into a position of power. Often referred to as "The Scottish Play" by superstitious theatergoers due to the purported witchcraft found within its text, Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's bloodiest, scariest, and yet, most popular tragedies."

CSC's Artistic Director John Doyle will helm the production which kicks off the Classic Stage Company 2019-2020 season.

Additional casting will be announced in due course.
