Colin Quinn: Red State Blue State extends at Minetta Lane Theatre
The new solo show by Colin Quinn will now play its final off-Broadway performance on March 16, 2019.
Due to popular demand and rave reviews, producers of Colin Quinn: Red State Blue State have announced a 2-week extension for the comedian's latest solo show, which will now play through to March 16, 2019 (instead of March 3) at off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre.
Written by and starring Colin Quinn, the show gives a balanced comedic insight into the current state of political affairs.
Red State Blue State marks the Brooklyn-born comedian's sixth one-man show in a New York theatre. Making his Broadway debut in 1998 with Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake, he has performed five one-man shows on topics including the economy, the United States Constitution and race relations between communities.
His 2010 production entitled Colin Quinn: Long Story Short was nominated for a Drama Desk Award in the category of "Outstanding Solo Performance."
Red State Blue State began previews on January 5, 2019, before an official opening on January 22, and is set to be recorded as an audio play, courtesy of Audible.
Directed by Bobby Moresco, the creative team features scenic design by Edward T. Morris, lighting design by Aaron Copp, and sound design by Sam Kusnetz.
Colin Quinn: Red State Blue State is produced off-Broadway by Audible, Mike Lavoie, Carlee Briglia, and Brian Stern.
Colin Quinn: Red State Blue State Tickets are available now for performances through to March 16, 2019.
