Buyer & Cellar: Barrett Foa to star

NCIS: Los Angeles star Farrett Boa will take over as 'Alex' from 27 May 2014 in Jonathan Tolins comedy Buyer & Cellar, directed by Stephen Brackett, playing at the Barrow Street Theatre.

Boa assumes the role from current cast member Christopher J. Hanke who will be continuing in the role until 25 May 2014.

Boa has appeared on Broadway in 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' (2006-2007), 'Avenue Q' (2005-2006) and made his Broadway debut in 'Mamma Mia!' (2001). However, he is perhaps best known for his TV role as computer geek Eric Beale on CBS' 'NCIS: Los Angeles' opposite LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell.

Buyer & Cellar opened 03 Apr 2013 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, where it played through to 12 May 2013. It then transferred to its current home at the Barrow Street Theatre where it opened on 24 Jun 2013.

Synopsis: 'Alex More has a story to tell. A struggling actor in L.A., Alex takes a job working in the Malibu basement of a beloved megastar. One day, the Lady Herself comes downstairs to play. It feels like real bonding in the basement, but will their relationship ever make it upstairs? Buyer & Cellar is a comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs.'

The show features set design by Andrew Boyce, costumes by Jessica Pabst, lighting by Eric Southern and sound by Stowe Nelson.
