Bronx Bombers, opened at the Circle in the Square on 06 Feb 2014, following previews from 10 Jan 2014, and was originally selling tickets through to 06 Jul 2014.

Ruth. Berra. Mantle. DiMaggio. Gehrig. Jeter. The New York Yankees have never had a shortage of star players... or controversy. Bronx Bombers, conceived by Fran Kirmser, follows beloved icon Yogi Berra and his wife Carmen through a century of the team's trials and triumphs, bringing generations of Yankee greats together on one stage.

Bronx Bombers transferred to Broadway following Primary Stages's four-week Off-Broadway engagement at The Duke on 42nd Street where it played from 20 Sep - 19 Oct 2013.

The show's Broadway production stars Emmy nominated actor Peter Scolari ("Newhart") as 'Yogi Berra,' and his real-life wife Tracy Shayne as 'Carmen Berra.'

The remaining cast members, Francois Battiste (Reggie Jackson), Chris Henry Coffey (Joe DiMaggio), Bill Dawes (Mickey Mantle), Christopher Jackson (Derek Jeter), Keith Nobbs (Billy Martin), John Wernke (Lou Gehrig) and C.J. Wilson (Babe Ruth), are all reprising their roles from the show's Off-Broadway run.

The design team includes Beowulf Borritt (Sets), David C. Woolard (Costumes), Jason Lyons (Lights) and Lindsay Jones (Original Music & Sound).

The show is produced on Broadway by Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo. Special production partners for Bronx Bombers are the New York Yankees and Major League Baseball, marking these organizations first foray on Broadway.

Kirmser's and Ponturo's production company, Kirmser Ponturo Group, seeks to combine the drama of sports and theater. In 2010 they presented the Broadway premiere of 'Lombardi,' which tells the story of the Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi, followed in 2012 by the Broadway premiere of 'Magic/Bird,' a true story of basketball legends Magic Johnson's and Larry Bird's rivalry and friendship.
