Broadway Strike - Day Thirteen: Thanksgiving Day arrives, but most of Broadway remains dark.

Local One Pickets

Thanksgiving Day has arrived, but most of Broadway feels little to give thanks for.

The one piece of good news as the strike by Local One, Broadway's unionised stage hands, enters its thirteenth is that Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will re-open on Fri 22 Nov 2007. However even this may be sort lived, because Jujamcyn Theater group, who where ordered by the courts to allow the show to re-open, are to appeal the decision on 27 Nov 2007.

The League has still not announced if it will accept the invitation by Local One's president made a formal invitation to the League of American Theaters and Producers to meet on 25 Nov 2007.
