Benjamin Scheuer's The Lion returns off-Broadway
Producer Eva Price has announced that Benjamin Scheuer's autobiographical solo show The Lion will return off-Broadway at the Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project from 3 February to 29 March 2015, with an official opening on 8 February 2015.
The production follows recent runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Manhattan Theatre Club and London's St. James Theatre.
Written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, the production is directed by Sean Daniels and described as " a true story of love, loss, family loyalty, and the redemptive power of music."
Price said of the return to New York:
"Artists like Benjamin come along once or twice in a generation, so it is an honour to share this joyful new musical with New Yorkers looking to be inspired by this uplifting and extraordinary story."
