The Atlantic Theater Company has announced complete casting for its upcoming New York premiere of Animal, written by Clare Lizzimore and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, which will run at Atlantic Stage 2 from May 24 to June 18, 2017, with an official opening on June 6.

Joining previously announced Golden Globe nominee Rebecca Hall (as Rachel) will be (in alphabetical order) Kristin Griffith (Old Woman), Greg Keller (Stephen), David Pegram (Dan), Morgan Spector (Tom) and Fina Strazza (Little Girl).

Synopsis: "Rachel has it all: marriage, house, career. So why does she suddenly have this creeping feeling? Did she leave something behind? Or is there something in the walls...? Her husband thinks she needs time; her psychiatrist suggests positive thinking. But then the visions start. A darkly comic play about the underside of domesticity, the complexity of the brain in chaos, and the thin line between sinking and survival."

The creative team behind Animal features scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Sarah J. Holden, lighting design by Bradley King, sound design by Stowe Nelson, and original music by Daniel Kluger.

This is the final production of Atlantic's 2016-2017 season at Atlantic Stage 2. The final production of this season at Atlantic's larger venue - the Tony Kiser Theatre - will be Derren Brown: Secret, which begins previews on April 21, before an official opening on May 16 and a limited engagement through to June 4, 2017.
