Atlantic announces cast of David Mamet's The Penitent

The Atlantic Theater Company has announced the cast of the forthcoming world premiere of The Penitent, a new play by Atlantic co-founder David Mamet. Directed by Neil Pepe, the Pulitzer Prize winner's latest work will begin previews at the Linda Gross Theater on 8 February 2017, before an official opening on 27 February and a limited engagement through to 19 March 2017.

The cast of The Penitent includes Chris Bauer (Charles), Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (The Attorney), Jordan Lage (Richard) and Rebecca Pidgeon (Kath).

Synopsis: "A renowned psychiatrist is asked to testify on behalf of a young patient. When he refuses, his career, ethics and faith are thrown into question."

The creative team behind The Penitent features scenic design by Tim Mackabee, costume design by Laura Bauer, and lighting design by Don Holder.
