The world premiere of A.R. Gurney's comedy Love and Money, directed by Mark Lamos, which is a co-production between Signature Theatre and Westport Country Playhouse, has received a one week extension.

The production is set to begin previews at the Signature Center's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre on 15 August 2015, before an official opening on 24 August, and will now close on 4 October 2015.

In Love and Money "wealthy widow Cornelia Cunningham has led a life of grace and privilege, and she's making up for it as fast as she can. Determined to donate almost everything she owns before the end, Cornelia's plans are questioned when an ambitious and ingratiating young man, who may be the grandson she never knew she had, arrives to claim his inheritance. The trials of class, family, legacy, and race are explored in this world-premiere comedy by A.R. Gurney."

The cast includes Maureen Anderman (Cornelia Cunningham), Gabriel Brown (Walker "Scott" Williams), Pamela Dunlap (Agnes Munger), Kahyun Kim (Jessica Worth), and Joe Paulik (Harvey Abel).

The creative team behind Love and Money features scenic design by Michael Yeargan, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting design by Stephen Strawbridge, and sound design by John Gromada.
