Anne of Green Gables at the Lucille Lortel Theatre


TheatreworksUSA presents a musical adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel Anne of Green Gables, book and lyrics by Gretchen Cryer and music by Nancy Ford, opens at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on 29 Mar 2007, following previews from 23 Mar and running through to 5 May 2007.

Anne of Green Gables: Follows the journey of the wildly independent and adventurous red-haired orphan, Anne Shirley, who is mistakenly sent to live with an elderly bachelor and his spinster sister to help with the family farm.

Directed by Tyler Marchant, Anne of Green Gables features Bethe Austin (Marilla Cuthbert), Erick Devine (Matthew Cuthbert), Andrew Gehling (Gilbert Blythe), Piper Goodeve (Anne Shirley), Jessica Grove (Diana), and Heather MacRae (Rachel), Alison Faircloth and Michael Mendiola.

Set design by Beowulf Boritt, with costumes by David C. Woolard, lighting by Clifton Taylor and sound by Eric Shim.
