Wearing face masks will be optional across Broadway theatres from July 1.
Although wearing facemasks inside a Broadway theatre will become optional from July 1, American Buffalo will continue a facemask wearing mandate throughout all performances. American Buffalo will play at the Circle in the Square Theatre through July 10. Get American Buffalo tickets on New York Theatre Guide.
Currently, all theatregoers must wear a facemask at a Broadway theatre, however from July 1, this will change to audience members being highly encouraged to wear a mask in a theatre. This policy will be evaluated on a monthly basis.
Due to the American Buffalo staging and close audience proximity, American Buffalo audiences must continue to wear masks in the auditorium.
Laurence Fishburne, Sam Rockwell, and Darren Criss star in American Buffalo on Broadway. The David Mamet play follows Donny, a junk shop owner who plots a late-night heist to retrieve a valuable nickel. Read an American Buffalo review on New York Theatre Guide.
