Phillip Boykin stars as Hades in Hadestown on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre through August 31, 2025.
Boykin is best known for his Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award-nominated performance as Crown in The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, in which he made his Broadway debut. He also played Tonton Julian in Once on This Island (Grammy Award nomination) and played multiple previous stints as Hades.
Onscreen credits include the films Freedom and Top Five.
