
Maria Dizzia stars in Wallace Shawn's What We Did Before Our Moth Days off Broadway at the Greenwich House Theater from February 4, 2026.
Dizzia is a stage veteran who received a Tony Award nomination for the play In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) on Broadway and a Drama Desk nomination for Belleville off Broadway. Additional stage credits include the title role in Eurydice off Broadway, Macbeth on Broadway opposite Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga, and the national tour of the solo play What the Constitution Means to Me. Also a director, she staged and starred in Marin Ireland's Pre-Existing Condition off Broadway.
She is best known, however, for playing Polly in Orange Is the New Black, Mrs. Down in 13 Reasons Why, and Alli in the Oscar-winning short The Neighbors' Window. Additional screen credits include recurring roles in The Staircase, School Spirits, Agatha All Along, Emergence, and The First Lady.
