Laurie Hernandez stars as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee off Broadway at New World Stages from September 7 to October 11, 2026. Earlier in the year, she made her Broadway debut in the ensemble role of Charmion in & Juliet on Broadway.
Hernandez is best known for her career as an Olympic gymnast, winning gold with her U.S. teammates and winning silver individually on the balance beam at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Hernandez went on to win season 23 of Dancing With the Stars, win a Sports Emmy Award for her 2024 Olympics commentary, and author two New York Times-bestselling books: I Got This: To Gold and Beyond and the children’s book She’s Got This.
