
Kayla Davion stars as Joanne in Liberation on Broadway at the James Earl Jones Theatre from October 8, 2025.
Davion is known for Broadway starring roles as Jovie in Elf: The Musical and an alternate for the titular role in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, plus roles in Waitress and King Kong. Other stage credits included the Off-Broadway production White Girl in Danger as Florence and regional productions such as Hippest Trip: The Soul Train Musical as Jody Watley and The Color Purple as Celie.
Together with the cast of Liberation's Off-Broadway world premiere, she won Drama Desk and New York Drama Critic's Circle Awards for Outstanding Ensemble.
Her television and film work includes appearances in The Good Fight, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Better Nate Than Ever.
