Jason Thomas Mraz was born on June 23, 1977 in Mechanicsville, Virginia. He is a multi-platinum-selling recording artist who has released a total of five studio albums: Waiting for My Rocket to Come (2002), Mr. A–Z (2005), We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. (2008), Love Is a Four Letter Word (2012), and Yes! (2014).
In 2010, Mraz won two Grammy Awards for Make It Mine (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance) and Lucky (Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals). His biggest hit song is the 2009 track I'm Yours, which was nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and Song of the Year.
In the world of film, Mraz has been featured on a number of original movie soundtracks such as 50 First Dates, When in Rome, Chasing Liberty, and Dolphin Tale.
Mraz also previously collaborated with Waitress songwriter Sara Bareilles on Bad Idea and You Matter To Me from her album What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress. He made his Broadway debut, assuming the role of Dr. Pomatter in Waitress, on November 3, 2017.
