Vineyard Theatre has announced two of the three productions in its 2022-23 season, which kicks off in November. The season marks the Off-Broadway theatre company's 40th anniversary.

The first production in the season is the one-woman thriller Sandra, starring Marjan Neshat and directed by Obie Award winner Leigh Silverman. The title character's friend mysteriously disappeared while on a trip to Mexico, and Sandra's quest to find her puts her face to face with love and danger. The show is written by David Cale (whose play Harry Clarke also had Silverman directing) and features original piano music by Matthew Dean Marsh. Performances run from November 3 to December 11, and opening night is November 20.

In spring 2023, Vineyard will present the world premiere of acclaimed playwright Tori Sampson's This Land Was Made. The show is set at Miss Trish's Bar in Oakland, California. It's 1967, and the bar patrons are simply talking about how a wave of social activism is about to boil over — until someone shows up that inspires them to actually take action for themselves and make revolution happen. With history and humor, the play holds a mirror to today. Lucille Lortel Award winner Taylor Reynolds directs. Exact performance dates, casting, and further creative team members have yet to be announced.

Also in spring 2023, Vineyard will present a world-premiere musical that has yet to be announced.
