Primary Stages has announced that Tina Benko will replace previously announced Annie Parisse in the NY premiere of Informed Consent due to a scheduling conflict. Written by Deborah Zoe Laufer and directed by Liesl Tommy, performances begin at The Duke on 42nd Street on 4 August 2015, before an official opening on 18 August, with the limited engagement concluding on to 13 September 2015.

The cast of Informed Consent also includes Pun Bandhu, Jesse J. Perez, DeLanna Studi and Myra Lucretia Taylor.

Described as an "urgent, challenging, and of-the-moment" drama, the play is about one woman's quest to answer the mysteries of science and her own life, inspired by a landmark court case between one of the country's largest universities and a Native American tribe based in the Grand Canyon.

It will feature scenic design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Jacob A. Climer, lighting design by Matthew Richards, original music and sound design by Broken Chord and projection design by Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew.

Deborah Zoe Laufer's plays have been produced at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Cleveland Playhouse, Geva Theatre Center, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Actor's Theatre of Louisville, Portland Stage, and eighty other theaters around the country, in Germany, Russia and Canada.

Tina Benko was last seen on the NY stage in Ivo Van Hove's production of 'Scenes From A Marriage' at New York Theatre Workshop. Her Broadway credits include 'Irena's Vow,' 'Top Girls,' and 'The Real Thing.'
