The Public Theater's production of George Brant's drama Grounded, starring Oscar winner Anne Hathaway and directed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, has extended its limited engagement by one week through to 24 May 2015.

Performances began at the Public's Anspacher Theater on 7 April 2015, with an official opening set for 26 April.

Anne Hathaway stars as 'The Pilot.' She returns to the New York stage and the Public Theatre after starring in their 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of 'Twelfth Night' as Viola at the Delacorte Theater.

Synopsis: "An ace fighter pilot reassigned to a remote-controlled drone faces 12-hour shifts hunting targets from her Air Force trailer followed by 12 hours in the suburbs with her family in this award-winning new play about the complicated consequences of waging war without leaving home."

The creative team behind Grounded features scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, lighting by Christopher Akerlind, sound design by Will Pickens, production design by Peter Nigrini, and original music and soundscapes by Elliot Goldenthal.
