Rachel Bloom to host the 64th Annual Obie Awards

The 64^th Annual Obie Awards are set to take place on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Terminal 5.

Rachel Bloom, the Golden Globe-winning star and creator of The CW's "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," will officially host the 64th Annual Obie Awards, according to The American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice.

Ms. Bloom commented: "I am THRILLED to be hosting The Obies this year and can confirm that a tiny hat will be incorporated into my wardrobe."

The 64^th Annual Obie Awards will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Terminal 5 in New York City.

For the past 64 years the Obie Awards have honored the best of Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway. Structured with informal categories that change annually, the Obie Awards recognize persons and productions of excellence and unlike most theatre awards, the Obie Awards have no nominations.

Rachel Bloom won a Golden Globe in the category of "Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical" for "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" in 2016 and received a second nomination in 2017. Other screen credits include "Robot Chicken," "F**k Me, Ray Bradbury," "Most Likely to Murder," "Bob vs. Society," and she also appeared in the 2017 Lincoln Center concert staging of Crazy For You.
