After playing its final performance at the Public Theater yesterday, it has now been confirmed that the entire cast of Danai Gurira's Eclipsed, as directed by Liesl Tommy, will remain with the production and transfer to the Great White Way.

Eclipsed will begin previews at Broadway's Golden Theatre on 23 February 2016, before an official opening on 6 March and a limited engagement through to 19 June 2016.

Joining Osacr winner Lupita Nyong'o (The Girl) will be fellow cast members Pascale Armand (Bessie), Akosua Busia (Rita), Zainab Jah (Maimi) and Saycon Sengbloh (Helena).

Synopsis: "Eclipsed is the story of five extraordinary women brought together by upheaval in their homeland of Liberia. They forge a close-knit community... one that inspires them to feats of increasingly greater strength. Directed by South African-born Liesl Tommy, Eclipsed is a stirring tale of hope, humor and resilience."

Eclipsed is produced on Broadway by Stephen Byrd, Alia Jones-Harvey, Paula Marie Black, Willette Klausner, Carole Shorenstein Hays and The Public Theater.

Lupita Nyong'o's stage credits include 'The Winter's Tale,' 'Uncle Vanya,' 'The Taming of the Shrew,' and 'Elijah.' She won the Academy Award in 2014 for "12 Years a Slave." Her upcoming film credits include "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," "Queen of Katwe," and "The Jungle Book."
