Noises Off: Roundabout announces full casting
The Roundabout Theatre Company have announced full casting to join Tony and Emmy Award winner Andrea Martin in their Broadway revival of Michael Frayn's comedy Noises Off, directed by Tony nominee Jeremy Herrin.
The full cast includes Andrea Martin (Dotty Otley), Campbell Scott (Lloyd Dallas), Tracee Chimo (Poppy Norton-Taylor), Daniel Davis (Selsdon Mowbray), David Furr (Garry Lejeune), Kate Jennings Grant (Belinda Blair), Megan Hilty (Brooke Ashton), Rob McClure (Tim Allgood), and Jeremy Shamos (Frederick Fellowes).
The creative team has also now been announced and features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Michael Krass, lighting design by Jane Cox, and sound design by Christopher Cronin.
Noises Off begins previews at the American Airlines Theatre on 17 December 2015, before an official opening on 14 January 2016, and a limited engagement through to 6 March 2016.
Synopsis: "Noises Off is the classic show-within-a-show farce. The Opening Night performance of the farce 'Nothing On' is just hours away, and as the cast stumbles through their final dress rehearsal, things couldn't be going any worse. With lines being forgotten, love triangles unraveling and sardines flying everywhere, it's complete pandemonium... and we haven't even reached intermission! Can the cast pull their act together on the stage even if they can't behind the scenes?"
Noises Off premiered on Broadway in 1983. Directed by Michael Blakemore, the production ran for a total of 553 performances and was nominated for a Tony for Best Play. It was revived in 1993, in a production directed by Jeremy Sams which was also nominated for a Tony Award for Best Revival.
