MCC announce 2007-8 season
MCC Theater has announced the three productions comprising its upcoming 2007-8 season. The New York City theater company will once again bring a triptych of works to Off Broadway�s Lucille Lortel Theatre for their 22nd season. In addition, 2008 will see the company present their full-scale musical production.
The productions are the New York Premiere of Grace, a new play by Mick Gordon and AC Grayling, Jim Knable�s romantic comedy Spain, and the World Premiere of The Black Suits, a new musical by Joe Iconis and Robert Maddock. Iconis and Maddock are both recipients of the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation Award.

Synopsis: When noted scientist Grace Friedman learns that her son Tom has decided to become a Christian minister, she is forced to confront the meaning of both her atheist convictions and maternal impulses. Tom�s father and pregnant girlfriend are caught in the cross-fire between mother and son that leads to a tragic twist.

Playwright: Jim Knable
Synopsis: Barbara, reeling from a recent divorce, retreats into her very active imagination and there meets, of all things, a sexy Conquistador. Together, they embark on a fanciful journey to a country she has long dreamed of visiting.
Dates: 23 Jan - 8 Mar 2008 - The Black Suits
Book, Music and Lyrics: Joe Iconis and Robert Maddock
Synopsis: Haunted by the prospect of a dead-end life in a working-class Long Island suburb, Chris decides to push forward with his dream. He relentlessly rehearses his band in the garage with the goal of a break-through from hopelessness to fame and escape. Problem is�nobody in the group wants it as much as he does.
