York Theatre Company has now announced casting for its upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of Anything Can Happen in the Theater: The Musical World of Maury Yeston, which is scheduled to run from November 25 through December 29, 2019, with an official opening on December 5.

The five-member cast will include Benjamin Eakeley, Jovan E'Sean, Alex Getlin, Justin Keyes, and Mamie Parris.

Anything Can Happen in the Theater is conceived and directed by Tony Award winner Gerard Alessandrini, the creative mastermind behind Forbidden Broadway and Spamilton, and features choreography by Gerry McIntyre and music direction by Greg Jarrett.

Synopsis: "Gerard Alessandrini comes to The York with his newest creation: Anything Can Happen in the Theater, a collection of the songs of Tony-winning composer and lyricist Maury Yeston. The genius of Yeston's songs—intricate yet emotional, cerebral yet romantic, clever yet unendingly melodic—is coupled with an outstanding cast for an unforgettable evening showcasing the myriad sides of the writer's repertoire. Showstoppers from Nine, Grand Hotel, Titanic, Phantom, and Death Takes a Holiday intertwine with lesser-known entries from the Yeston songbook to show off his immense breadth of style—from the hilarious to the deeply moving."

The creative team also features scenic design by James Morgan, costume design by Melinda Hare, lighting design by Jacob Zedek, and sound design by Julian Evans.
