Lizzie The Musical to play Off-Broadway in summer 2019

Eden Esponisa, Shannon O'Boyle, Ciara Renée & Carrie Cimma will star in the Lizzie Borden-inspired rock musical at Pershing Square Signature Center.

Based on the life of infamous murder suspect Lizzie Borden, Lizzie The Musical is heading off-Broadway this summer to play a limited engagement at Pershing Square Signature Center. Performances run from July 19 to September 29, 2019, on the Irene Diamond Stage, with an official opening set for August 5.

Synopsis: "Lizzie Borden is the original good girl turned bad. Her story has become legendary, and her name is infamous. Now, she's telling her own tale with a killer new voice. Witness Lizzie Borden like never before: in true hair-raising, hard-hitting, rock star fashion. As secrets in the Borden household reach a boiling point, Lizzie's rage explodes, and she finds herself considering the unthinkable. You may know the poem, but you only know half the story. Featuring four powerhouse actresses at the top of their game, Lizzie is the cutting-edge new musical you'll be dying to see."

The all-female cast includes Carrie Cimma (as Bridget), Shannon O'Boyle (as Lizzie), Ciara Renée (as Alice), and Eden Espinosa (as Emma).

Lizzie The Musical features music by Steven Cheslik-DeMeyer & Alan Stevens Hewitt, lyrics by Mr. Cheslik-DeMeyer & Tim Maner, and a book by Mr. Maner.

The off-Broadway production is directed by Victoria Bussert, choreographed by Jaclyn Miller, and features musical direction by Julie McBride, orchestrations by Alan Stevens Hewitt, scenic design by Shoko Kambara, costume design by Charlotte Yetman, lighting design by Greg Hofmann, and sound design by Alex Hawthorn.

Lizzie The Musical is produced off-Broadway by Danita Thomas, John E. Thomas and Born Cooper Productions.
