Keen Company announces cast of Blues for an Alabama Sky
The New York premiere of Blues for an Alabama Sky begins performances at Theatre Row on February 4, 2020.
Keen Company continues its 20th Anniversary Season in spring 2020 with the previously announced New York premiere of Blues for An Alabama Sky, written by Pearl Cleage and directed by LA Williams, and has now confirmed casting.
The cast will include Prema Cruz, Alfie Fuller, John-Andrew Morrision, Khiry Walker, and Sheldon Woodley.
Synopsis: "Blues for An Alabama Sky tells a strikingly timely story about four friends whose lives and passions collide when an innocent newcomer from Alabama arrives in Harlem during summer of 1930, as the promises of the Harlem Renaissance are being swept away by the Great Depression."
The creative team features scenic design by You-Shin Chen, costume design by Asa Benally, lighting design by Oona Curley, and original music & sound design by Lindsay Jones.
Blues for An Alabama Sky will run from February 4 through March 14, 2020 at Theatre Row, with an official opening set for February 18.
