Primary Stages have announced a new addition to the cast of its current production of Lives of the Saints, a world premiere collection of short plays by David Ives which officially opened at The Duke on 42nd Street on 24 February 2015, following previews from 3 February and continues its limited engagement through to 27 March 2015.

Jeff Biehl will replace Rick Holmes, who is set to begin rehearsals for the Chita Rivera-led Broadway transfer of The Visit. He joins current cast members Arnie Burton, Carson Elrod, Kelly Hutchinson, and Liv Rooth.

Mr Biehl appeared in the Broadway production of 'Machinal' last year and has appeared off-Broadway in the Primary Stages production of 'Poor Behavior' and 'Burning' at the Acorn Theater.

Lives of the Saints includes three new pieces, and is described by the venue as "a mixture of humour, intellect, and farce and is a transformative step in Mr. Ives' mastery of the one-act form."

Lives of the Saints is directed by John Rando, a frequent collaborator of David Ives. It also features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Jason Lyons, sound design and original music by John Gromada and wig design by Tom Watson.

David Ives's writing credits include 'All in the Timing' and 'Venus in Fur'. Tony Award winner John Rando's previous credits include 'All in the Timing', 'On The Town', and 'Urinetown'.
